I went to see my family on Long Island last weekend for my niece and nephew’s birthdays. And I’m going again this weekend to celebrate Easter. Last year I spent the holiday alone as we were in the terrifying early stages of Covid, and I am so grateful to get to see them this year.
Speaking of Easter, I ordered these for all of my nieces and nephews. Fingers crossed they like them and they live up to the hype.
The best news I’ve had in awhile: New York has opened up the vaccine to all adults over 30! A category I happily am a member of.
My book club read of the month is “The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue” by V.E. Schwab and I am so excited to start it. It’s been awhile since I’ve been looking forward to reading something so much.
Two things that stopped me mid scroll this past week: this staircase (I have been obsessed with spiral staircases since seeing this movie in the ‘90s) and this vignette (how perfect is that gallery wall?)
What’s your laundry detergent? I know Tide PODS are controversial, but as someone who needs to use a communal laundry room, it is so nice to just have to carry a couple down to my building’s basement and not lug an entire bottle of liquid. My mom has a life-long distaste of added fragrances, which has stuck with me, so these are my PODS of choice.
I’ve really come around to the idea of backpacks lately. As someone who has terrible posture, adding a bag to one shoulder is making me extra-lopsided and a backpack is the solution. Right now I have a very utilitarian one that I received from my job a few years ago, but I WANT A PRETTY ONE! I’m thinking of maybe this or this?
I hope the sun is shining all weekend long and everyone has a restful and well deserved break.
