In my spare time (aka, sitting in front of the TV at night) I make quilts. My grandma taught me a couple of years ago, and while I’m not very good, I’m getting better. I focus mainly on baby quilts for my friends who have recently given birth. Last weekend one of my college roommates received my latest one, and she was so sweet in thanking me. It made my entire day. Quilting a nice way to fill my time that feels productive and the fact that the end product made someone I love happy is just such a bonus.
I’m really hoping the end is near for the pandemic, but, in case you were curious, these are my favorite masks.
Cup of Jo had a post asking what foods people hate. I hate to spread negativity, but, I gag even moving the mayonnaise jar in the fridge and I will stand by that forever and always.
In positive news, Sumo Citrus is in season. I’m half sorry I discovered them because they’re not cheap, but I tried one right before the pandemic started last year, and have spent both winters eating the world’s most delicious fruit.
I think every person who has seen me (either on Zoom, FaceTime, or the rare in person encounter) in the past month has commented that my HAIR IS SO LONG!!!! Slip hair ties are my favorite, because it may be long, but it isn’t damaged.
My brother recommended this podcast to me since we grew up not far from Gilgo Beach on Long Island. He wasn’t wrong, it is good, and even if you’re not from the area, it’s very well done.
I really need to update the throw pillows on my couch. I’m thinking I want at least some green, but why is it so hard to find a good green throw pillow? Maybe something like this?
Congratulations to legitimately everyone on the planet. We’ve been at this for a year now (it’s March!), and we all deserve to celebrate that we’ve gotten this far.
