I had my monthly (currently) virtual book club on Tuesday and I met up with one of the girls in person. It was so nice to see a friend in real life, and it made me really hopeful for the future. In general drinking a glass of wine and laughing on Zoom was just what I needed as we slog through this winter.
My hair is naturally very, very frizzy. I’ve been using Arvazallia sulfate and paraben-free shampoo and conditioner for years now. And I have to say, I still love it.
I know I am the last person who has recommended a silk pillowcase, but, I can’t visit the topic of haircare and not preach that anyone who doesn’t have one should get one.
I know some people don’t display a lot of family photos in their home. And I respect that. But, I like having pictures of the people I love in my apartment. I have a lot of these frames from Crate and Barrel.
This photo showed up in my Instagram feed this week, and in the words of Rachel Zoe….I died. I mean, never in a million years would I have thought to do those stunning oversized lights, but, everything in the picture is perfection, the monochrome black, the simple bar drawer-pulls, the planked ceiling….a jaw-dropper for sure.
Are you a cookie or a cake person? I am first and foremost an ice cream person. But, I will always take a cookie over cake. I made the NYT chocolate chip cookies one time, and now they are by far the thing I’m asked to bake the most, but I will take an oatmeal cookie (no raisins, I do not want raisins in my cookies!) over chocolate chip forever and always. (In case you were wondering…..Quaker oat recipe).
The next book up on my list is Anxious People by Fredrik Backman. Honestly, all of his books are wonderful.
In very exciting news: this is the last February weekend of 2021. And do you know what happens in March? Spring.
